What are the 3 Audio Range Options on the 4200HD set up menu?

The three options are
Narrow
Normal
Wide.

I assume it has something to do with dynamic range?

I don't notice any difference with them. What does everyone have theirs set to?

The dynamic range settings only affect the analogue audio, not the digital outs. You can hear about 3dB difference, on each step (wide/normal/narrow), on the analogue outs if you have them hooked up.

If you ever have the need to use a "midnight type" mode, then you could leave the STB on "narrow" and utilize the analogue audio under those applications when you don't want to "wake the baby".
