Hey all,
Anyone out there have this USDTV STB? it's an OTA box only sold at Walmart and RC Willey (??). They have a service as well, but the box is not reliant on the service to work. The unit sells for $100, and I'm wondering if anyone has it and get some feedback on it.
Thanks,
Todd
This is a response I got from USDTV when I asked them about multipathing and the box itself.
"We have recently introduced a Free-to-Air set-top box that will enable
HD reception. You do not pay a subscription to use this box. Wal-Mart
is carrying them nation-wide. When our service becomes available in
your area, you will be able to enable it and receive our premium
channels also, after activating the set-top box with us.
We are using the latest chipset available (from a reputable and well
established vendor) with multipath elimination circuitry. However,
multipathing continues to be an issue with all HD receivers. Our
installers will do their best to eliminate it, if it is possible to
eliminate. We offer a 30-day trial."
