View Full Version : Yellow Spots

just noticed yellow spots on the screen when I'm viewing a white image. The bulb only has 272 hours on it and is rated for 1500. I cleaned the outside of the lense, but that didn't help. Any thoughts? I'd hate to think that I'm seeing reduced bulb pereformance alredy. Thanks.

maby dust blobs??
you could try blowing it out and see if it helps.

I called Sanyo tech support and they wanted the unit in for repair. Sanyo pays next day air, both ways, and has a very quick repair time (2-3 days). So, I shipped it off on Wednesday (19th). Hope to have it back on Monday. It's only 3 months old so it's still under warrenty. I'll post the repair results when I find out.

Humm, I have been reading it could be the blue polarizer, it is good its under warrenty, please let us know when you get it back what they said was the issue..

Got it back on Monday. They cleaned the LCD panels, replaced the air filter and updated the flash memory. Total cost to me - $0. I'm a very happy camper again. 5 days w/o HD was murder. On the plus side is did give me time to work on my new screen. 113" diag!! Custom built electric retractable. When I have time I'll post some details and pics if anyone is interested.

Thats great, I have heard Sanyo is replacing the filters, to help the dust blob issues, 0 cost is awsome, as is a 113" look foreward to the pics..
