Sometimes i think that Murdoch whould just sell Fox to someone years younger who knows how to use a push button phone and a color TV.

You HAVE to read this article

"3-D is the answer, not HDTV."
-- David Hill, Fox Sports Chairman.

Ok Fox. So while you guys spend all your money developing 3-D TV that wonnt be out for another 20 years, just let Fox site at SD while EVERY other station is going HD. Smart buisness.

I believe that is an older article by Swann. I've read most of it before. It is, of course, garbage since we know that Fox will be going 720P around September.

Local FOX in Milwaukee is broadcasting in 720p as of this week. Although I don't believe they have any programing from the Fox network in 720p yet, at least we know when it comes, we will be ready.

Now all FOX has to do is put some programmes on that don't stink so bad IMHO, and keep the ones on that offer a grain of intelligence that do and GIVE them a chance.
It doesn't matter if the shows are HD; if the programming is bad, HD doesn't make it any better. There have been shows I embraced on FOX in the past years that got cancelled without notice just so more garbage could be put on, again IMHO.

I thought that they were already "shooting" most widescreen programming in HD - don't know if it was 720P or 1080/24P like most programming. This was started a while ago so that when they went into reruns after the September HD date, they would have all the programming available in HD. Programmes like 24, etc.

It is possible that the "uplink" is not ready yet for 720P. Good news about the affiliate being ready though.

Firefly, Wonderfalls, Undeclared??? I feel your pain. Hopefully they will keep Arrested Development for another year.

That is the problem. If my affiliate is broadcasting in 720p, and Fox network is sending 480p widescreen, how am I to know when I get the real 720p from the network, other than PQ.

I'm only assuming it is not coming from the network yet, because they keep telling everyone it will be this fall. If they were sending out to their affiliates now, I think we would be hearing about it.
