What are your video settings on the C32V37? I eyeballed my calibration using some DVDs and suggestions from CNET. Then I bought Avia and used the test patterns. But the color saturation was is too high when I watch cable. Right now, my settings are the following:

EZ Picture: Off
Contrast: 100
Brightness: 50
Color: 55
Sharpness: 55
Tint: 0
Color Temp: Medium
Z-View: Off

I am a noob with this calibration deal. I know the contrast is pretty high, but that's where the Avia test pattern was white, and there was no indication that it was too high and could cause damage.

The AVIA contrast test is not accurate for today's TVs since the power supplies are all adequate. You should lower it. You need to work with the test that has white at one end and black at the other and ensure that there are "regular" gradiations from white to black, with the second last "bar" not being black and the second bar from the start not being white.

Anyone got any better settings for this TV? Its really hard to calibrate the HD inputs when you are using a 480i ot 480p signal. I am looking for some numbers in 1080i mode.

Thanks!

Well, I'm certainly no expert, but here's mine:

EZ Picture: Off
Contrast: 60
Brightness: 50
Color: 35
Sharpness: 50
Tint: 0
Color Temp: Medium
Z-View: On

I watch cable with these settings in a room without direct light. With the blinds open I switch to Normal mode just 'cause it's easy.

Know of anyway to add extra or newer channel label graphics?
