I think I've read about this on here, I'm not sure. I have just the cabinet of my TV right now and I can't help but notice how EASY it looks to get to my protective screen. What are the benefits of re-stacking your screen. Is it EASY? If it involves cutting or drilling or anything destructive like that I think it might be out of my leauge, but if it's just a matter of removing some "layers" I'm all for it.

It really is quite easy. On mine the protective screen was only held on by pop-in strips on the sides and top. All I did was tank those out, pull out the protective screen and that was it, no more glare. I didn't do any kind of restacking of the screen, I just got rid of the outer, protective screen.
I would think that if you actually put that screen behind the lenticular screen that you may have to refocus the CRTs, since the layer the light is supposed to get to would be a few centimeters beyond where it was originally focused for. I would also think that you might get some extra light boucing within the set, since that "glassy" screen would probabgly bounce some of the light back into the set. Then again, I couldn't easily stack my screen like that anyway, since the inner screen is installed from the back end of the frame while the protective screen ws on the front. Too much bother to change them around. ;)
