I'm completely new to this forum, and well, pretty ignant about the intricacies of setting my (future) system.

the LowDown - will be getting a Sony KF42WE610 (42" LCD rear proj. widescreen) in the next week or so.

will likely be wanting to get some digital cable or HDTV from Rogers.

just wondering if anyone would be willing to give me some input into the various differences between the Digital Cable and the HDTV service that Rogers has, and maybe some details on costs and whats included (by way of digital channels and regular chanels)

and also what equipment i'll have to buy/rent to get it all set up nice and proper...

any suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated...

Read the FAQs, especially the one "What you need to do to your new HDTV". Although your TV will not require convergence, a proper colour/contrast/brightness, etc setup will help you get the most from your TV.

Also check out the other posts in this Rogers forum. There are simply too many options that Rogers provides. Go to their website and see them, or give them a call. Also check out the Bundles.
