Is there an accessable service menu for the Gateway 42" Plasma EDTV?
Also, I realize that this television is an EDTV so HDTV programming will not be as good as an HDTV would display. However, when displaying HDTV channels the image looks fairly decent, except for the black areas which show little or no definition. This is okay for some sports on ESPNHD but it is virtually impossible to watch CSI or other HD programming that is not brightly lit or with little black. Is there a way to adjust this or could there possible be a problem with my digital cable box or signal stregth? I have used Sound and Visions callibration disk, but it seems to have no effect on the HDTV channels. A while back the TV used to be hooked up to DISH and I don't recall this problem. Could the tv be going bad? Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.
