I have a Mitsubishi WS55513 and when I hook up my laser disc player via Input one all works fine except after viewing picture for 3 ms a big white box suddenly appears over the picture you can still see the edges of the movie but the white blank box is present. can you help.

That happened to me once on a old Hitachi projection TV. It was the closed captioning on the TV that did it. Not sure if that is your problem, but something to check out. Didn't make sense to me either.

Thanks to Olivski , I went home and tried the fix he suggested check to see if the close caption was set up. Yep sure enough it was when I shut it off it fixed the problem of the white box appearing on the screen when I played Laser Discs thaks so much Olivski !!!!
