Hi I am new to this board and now to HD-TV. I have a question I am hoping some one can help me with, and I want to apologies now if I ramble or don't make sense.
I just bought a Mitsubishi HD-WS- 55313. I guess it only can receive 480I and 1080 (not 720). I don't think this much of a problem - but the problem is that it does not seem to be able to convert automatically from 1080 to 480I.
So right now if I want to watch my dish network HD channel I have to use my dish box and go thru the menus and manually change from 480I to 1080 for the HD viewing. If I do not do this then I will not received the program in HD right?
I would keep the TV in 1080 all the time, but then when I am watching non-HD channels makes the people look very large and stretched and it's bothersome. So I keep the TV in 480I-standard and the people look more normal.
Is there something I can do, thru the TV or the dish that makes this switch happen with out manually controlling it?
