I would have to say the best places I can get deals in Ottawa are:
High End Stores:
1. StereoPlus "in Orleans"
2. Audio Centre "On Clyde Street"
3. Audio Shop "Bank Street"
Bargain Stores:
1. Future Shop
All of these stores are fairly easy to work excellent deals if you talk to the salesman the right way! I have saved thousands shopping at some of them.

umm how did you save money at futureshop?
Wheel and Deal, call other stores and have them give you a quote then have Future Shop beat it. I usually play 2 or 3 stores off of each other.
My buddy just baught a 50'' Sony LCD and I saved him close to 2 thousand bucks. The TV is $4999.99 retail & Stand is $999.99 Retail.
-I called my buddy at Future Shop and said what deal can he work me. His reply was "4499.99 for the TV & 499.99 for the stand"
-Then I called Stereo Plus and told them that Future Shop offered me the TV for 4299.99 with a "FREE" stand. He said he would match it.
-Repeated the process and called my buddy at Future Shop, told him Stereo Plus offered me the TV for $4199 + a free stand. He spoke with his manager and my friend got his TV for 4149.99 + free stand.
Retail total would have been = $5999.98 for both
The price he paid was = $4149.99 for both
In total I saved him $1799.99, now that's a deal if you ask me and it only took about a half hour and I never left my house. He was happy, my friend at Future Shop got a sale and I barely lifted a finger to help.
You gotta love the "We'll beat the lowest Price" you get offer that both of these stores have.
Oh and I forgot, if they want proof simply fabricate an email for them. Get one from one store, fabricate it and forward it to the other. It's lying and cheating but they screw enough people everyday, so I figure it's the consumers turn to get something back.

Price is, of course, not the only measure of a store. For those more interested in service - you may wish to check out Brentview Electronics or Mt. Pleasant Stereo, both are small stores on Mt. Pleaseant Rd, south of Eglinton in Toronto.
Once you've done all your shopping for "best price" bring it to the store and they may come surprisingly close, especially when you consider the service you can sometimes get from these smaller stores - setup, advice, custom cables, etc.
For my money, if a store like this comes within 5%, they get my business on goods that can require service and advice.
Also, we need these places a lot more than another BB, FS or Wal-Mart.
I have always received excellent service from Stereo Plus and Future Shop. However Future Shop maybe a bit different because a good friend of mine works there and always makes sure I am well taken care of. He even gave me a brand new Grand Wega made after january and picked up my october build before it even broke just because some of the earlier models may have been defective, I think that is excellent service... I didn't even have to lift a finger let alone pick up a phone and ask.
