View Full Version : Ps2 on Widescreen...

Im using component cables to play my ps2 and i notice theres a gap between the picture and the end of the screen thats like 1/4 an inch wide of black strip like when your watching a 4:3 in regular mode.....i tried to use the tilt adjust but that didnt help.....what else can i do to fix this, i dont want it to cause burn in
Not sure what model TV you have, but if you can change zoom modes on this input, try it. Otherwise, you'd need to get into the service menu and increase the overscan (REALLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!)

i have the new sony 30" WEGA ($999)......i guess ill just have to deal with it, pretty weird though that the right side of the screen would be off like that and only on ps2 games, its not even there when i play DVDs on the ps2

this has been discussed in the video games section on the website many times this is actually a fault with the PS2 not your TV.... for some reason some of the games do not always fill the screen....
