Well, I purchased a Terk TV55 off of Ebay, before reading all the bad reviews here, but I've worked out a good position inside my apartment where I'm getting pretty much everything except Channel 2 (CBS, The only VHF channel). Here is my channel list off of antennaweb:

* yellow - uhf WPWR-DT 50.1 UPN GARY IN 170° 10.6 51
* yellow - uhf WSNS-DT 44.1 TEL CHICAGO IL 170° 10.6 45
* yellow - uhf WYCC-DT 20.1 PBS Chicago IL 164° 9.4 21
* yellow - uhf WTTW-DT 11.1 PBS Chicago IL 170° 10.6 47
* yellow - uhf WLS-DT 7.1 ABC Chicago IL 170° 10.6 52
* yellow - uhf WMAQ-DT 5.1 NBC Chicago IL 170° 10.6 29
* yellow - uhf WXFT-DT 60.1 TFA AURORA IL 169° 10.6 59
* yellow - uhf WFLD-DT 32.1 FOX Chicago IL 170° 10.6 31
* yellow - uhf WCIU-DT 26.1 IND Chicago IL 170° 10.6 27
* yellow - uhf WCPX-DT 38.1 PAX Chicago IL 169° 10.6 43
* yellow - uhf WGN-DT 9.1 WB CHICAGO IL 170° 10.6 19
* red - vhf WBBM-DT 2.1 CBS Chicago IL 164° 9.4 3
* blue - uhf WGBO-DT 66.1 UNI JOLIET IL 164° 9.4 53

Any suggestions to get channel 2? A second antenna? Different type? Thanks!

Rabbit Ears for VHF may work.

Would this work to use both at the same time? I believe that's what this is:

Yes, that could work. But... the Terk should be able to get VHF also. But, based on it's reputation as well as you bought it used, there are doubts that arise.

I'd say, see if you can borrow a pair of rabbit ears to see what you get from Channel 2.

Or... try this:

You may get lucky and it may get everything you need! Kind of like two tests in one. If it doesn't work, it can easily be returned and revert to Plan A.

Already tried that one, the Terk is much better, couldn't get anything off that one - also tried the Jensen one that Radio Shack sells, and it was ok, but the Terk is getting better reception. Actually, never paid attention but there is a decent looking antenna on the roof of my building, I was thinking about trying to grab a signal off of that, and see how it works, if that is the case, I don't want to have to run a second wire, so I was looking at this diplexer:

http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F003%5F008%5F003%5F000&product%5Fid=16%2D2586

Might be another option.. I'm not in too much of a hurry, the only thing I'd watch channel 2 for would be the occasional Bears game once football season starts. I'm sure I'll work something out.

Anyone have experience with using a diplexer with Dish Network? Any signal problems?

At this point, I wouldn't throw diplexing satellite into the mix until you get your Channel 2 problem resolved.

Why not try the roof antenna? You may need the Terk at all.
