Actually, most subscribers are now eligible for an 811 for either:

$24.95 if it's a replacement.
$50.00 if an install is required.

Within a few months, almost all the Dish hardware will be lease only. (rumor)

Incorrect.

The 49.95 activation is refundable on the first bill.
So the ONLY out-of-pocket is the tax on the retial value.

the 24.95 you mentioned- I've never seen.
If mine needs replaced I'm not even paying shipping.
It's easily waived.

So far, the only DHA leases are dual 322s or 522s.
The activation is still the same - 48.95, but refunded on first bill.

No it's not incorrect. It's a new leasing program for existing customers. You're bill basically determines the equipment you can upgrade.

I got the following installed last Sunday:

An 811 to supplement the 510 in my main room.
cost - $50.00 for the install because it was an additional reciever. I got fresh cable run, and the installer made sure my locals worked.

A 510 to replace a 301.
cost - $0.00 because it replaced the 301. Normally there's a $24.95 shipping charge, but this was waived since the installer delivered it with the 811.

I'll pay a $4.95 leasing fee for the 510 because I'm not on the America's everything plan.

Within a few months, give or take, dish will be expanding the reciever list available for leasing to non-DHA customers. If you're on dish, you can see what you're eligible for by logging into the website, and clicking on the equipment upgrades link.

I don't know about that. Check Ebay, 6000 systems are going for upwards of $600!

Ya Know, quotes are really superfluous.
I already read it once!.

Since 811s are free, there's only one answer.
6000s have been compromised!
