I just got a HD100 from a friend that was upgrading, and i am trying to set it up to receive DTV channels only, no sat. I bought a terk tv55 antenna, mounted it outside facing toward sutro tower (broadcasting tower in san francisco), and i am not getting a thing. No blip on the signal strength meter, no lock at all. Tried it wiht rabbit ears also, no signal.

I believe that the antenna is working well, since it greatly improves my analog reception, through the tv tuner and the HD100. i have read the manual, double and triple checked all connections and think that I hooked it all up correctly...

I'm stumped.

also, would anyone know how to access the service meny on the HD100, if there is one?

Thanks!

Silly question? Did you scan in your DTV stations first? I think this model offers the ability to scan analog and digital signals separately. If you did, then try doing a hard reboot of the system and re-scan the DTV stations. Do a search for “Sony DTV receiver hard reboot” on the web then rescan the digitals. I think all Sony’s follow the same procedure for doing a hard reboot.

Just hit menu on your remote and your into the system menu, then proceed to non-satellite stations.

I did scan the dtv stations first, no luck.

the hard reboot did work though.

Thanks!
