Has anyone heard any news or read any reviews on this mits model? I'm considering it, but a lil hestitant. This particular model is a gold model...I hear it is the same as the last years 46809, which was platinum plus. It's either ws-48311 or hitachi 51swx20b or uwx model. I know one has dvi(51swx) and one doesn't(48311)....

The 2003 Gold Series has replaced the 2002 Platinum Series. Since Mitsubishi has gone all digital. I'm getting this very tv delivered to me today. I'll give you an update after I've used it for a week or so. It sure looked good at the store!!

Have had the 48-311 for aweek. Fabulous HD, other channels are Ok. Stretching 4:3 looks Ok if I sit to left or right of center. This is minor.
