I have the Samsung TS360 HDTV receiver.I have been having "Audio Dropouts" on HDTV channels only as reg DTV Channels.. are fine it started getting real bad a few weeks ago. I finally hung onto the waiting line at DTV tech service. Long story short I need a new set top box. I was told since my "90" day warranty is over they will gladly send me a new (refurbished) for $99.00.
Or they told me to deal with Samsung.
Either way I'm P****ED!
As soon as my 1 year obligation is over in April I'm going to VOOM!!
I have been with DTV for over 7 years.
Just had to vent.

Try calling Samsung directly. I believe that there may be a 'firmware upgarde' available that may resolve your issues (if I'm not mistaken).

So you'd rather pay the $199 install fee and $9.50 a month rental or even better $499 outright for a Voom receiver rather then call Sumsung directly to see if they can fix your receiver? Gotta remember, D* didn't make the equipment, can't expect them to warrenty it for you, call Samsung first then vent on them if they won't do anything for you...

hope you aren't a big fan of the nfl, unless of course you root for the pats and then i guess telling directv to take a hike is cool.

or try calling directv and asking them to send you the 'latest firmware upgarde' via the satellite uplink signal. much easier way to do it. :)

directv is replacing these models of samsung at no charge it seems. They have had many complaints on this model. My replacement is coming in next week. We'll see if the one I get has all the features.
