I heard a lot of good things on this forum about these players.Have any of you that owns the 910 had any problems with it?
And how is the 900?i'm curious because i can get either from ebay dirt cheap.
Just would like to know, because i heard the F chip is really good, and i don't want to make a mistake if these players have issues.
any feedback would be cool
Matt~
Denon is a quality company, I am sure none of these players have issues. If by F chip you mean faroudja processing, then yes it is great and you wont be disappointed...

:canada:  :lurk: Go for the 910,"NOT" the 900.The 910 is the upgrade with all the bugs ironed out.I have the DVD-910 and the pictuer quality is awesome. It is different than other players with a very smooth high resolution picture quality.

I may still get the denon 910, but after hearing about jumpy picture, and incompatibility with sony tv's i may look else where.
Would like to know, because the auction ends in about 2 days.
and yes max, when i meant F-chip, i meant the one your talking about, i just could'nt spell it that's all. :pimpy:

I was looking at this DVD player yesterday. Looked nice in the shop but I asked if they had silver in stock... salesman said no, but he said the dvd-555(or dvd-1710 same model different # *shrug?*) is the new version of the 910. is that true or bs?

If you want a Denon do yourself a favor and buy it form a local dealer. I am on my third eBay 910 and still dont have one that works right. Once you figure in the shipping back and forth trying to get a good unit the savings vanish quickly.
Just my 2 bits

the 910 got the secrets award from www.hometheatherhifi.com for being one of the best DVD players around i would really look at this website and their reviews being buying any DVD player as they are really really honest about their reviews...
Could you check the link pls? Something I'd like to see
Thanks,
Lee
Nevermind :) I think I see it, a typo? An extra 'h' in theater
I have been looking at DVD players. I've got my video nailed. My old Technics DVD-A10 had an excellent picture but had some issues with certain DVDs. I really don't need progressive scan or Faroudja. The PJ has the Faroudja. At least you can turn the PS off. My Toshiba DVD players have been fine but I wanted to upgrade.. Just for movies, I don't do DVD-A or SACD etc...
