In response to questions about whether the 941 plays JPEG photos and whether the 841 has a deinterlacer, I've received two responses from Samsung saying that the only difference is that the 941 has an HDMI output. Since my TV has only DVI and not HDMI, and I can get the 841 for about $180, I'm thinking of getting it instead of paying $250 to $300 for the 941 when it comes out at the end of the month. Does anybody have any info or input? Are they really so much alike? The actual quote from the second email from Samsung is "The DVDHD841 and DVDHD941 has the same features, the only difference is that the DVDHD941 is features with HDMI."

One can only hope that Samsung's CSR's are better with technical information than English...

The key feature with the Samsung 941 over the 841 is the Faroudja DCDi technology. I am sure there are other features for the difference in price. You can take the CSR's company issued written statement for what it's worth. But if you like what you see with the 841 then why spend more? :sherlok:
