I just purchased the LG-3510A (OTA STB plus DVD player) and hooked it up using indoor antenna with DVI connection. OTA looks really good and DVD looks pretty good compared to my old one (Sammy HD-931). I bought this just for MNF. Comcast-Atlanta doen't have ABC-HD. We'll never know when they will. My question is, I can also hook this up through my ComcastHD cable box. What will I benefit from this? Your reply would save me from resetting the system. Thanx in advance.

NO benefit whatsover.

The 3510 is OTA OR digital cable. Only one input and it can only be set for one or the other (cable/air).

Additionally, the 3510 will only decode unencrypted digital (QAM) cable... So, you would be unable to see analog channels, any premiums that you may have and probably 99% of all the other digital channels.
