Cox in San Diego, CA has had the channel since August 17. Commentary on local message board indicates their customers are getting the HD broadcasts.

I wish I could say the same for Connecticut, but they seem to take a lot longer to add channels here

Hey spike, you guys have fox in Baton Rouge? It doesn`t say it on the web site and we don`t get it here in New Orleans. One of the main reasons I wanted hd was to see the Saints games. I hope Cox hurries up with this crap.

Went on Kansas systems the first day of football season. Only other local here is ABC. I e-mailed PBS, NBC, and CBS stations to see what it up. PBS manager replied that they will be on sometime this month, manager at NBC affiliate did not reply, and CBS affiliate manager told me that they are not on because Cox insists that their signal be compressed, and they want the full effect of their local HDTV news passed through just like their analogue signal.

Cox cable is coming in the morning to install DVR w/ HD. I wish Connecticut Cox would offer more HD channels. I live in an apartment and can't even think about an antenna or dish ....

You'll enjoy it as is. I'd like a big tub of popcorn but if I can't get it, I'll settle for a medium. :lurk:
Hopefully we do get more channels in the near future. As for the dish, I don't think, under law, you can be denied to have one, even if you live in an apartment complex. :sherlok:

Cox just installed my HD/DVR box this morning. The tech told me he heard that Fox and ABC should be added early next year to Cox in Connecticut.

You will love the DVR. Got mine for about 2 weeks and now I can't live without it. The wife likes to go visit the family on weekend so I just set to record all games and watch it at my leisure. Just be careful not to watch Sportscenter before you watch the games. And i love the pause and rewind live TV function.

Just noticed the other day that Cox is broadcasting FoxHD now in Cleveland. I didn't hear any announcement but just happened to find in while searching the program guide.

Cleveland Cox teased us with Fox HD in October then announced it was a test and pulled it off the system saying it would "officially launch" December 1. I guess providing the one network with extensive NFL HD broadcasts was just too customer oriented for Cox!
