Do these players really show quality higher than 480p?..Any comments on them would be great? Is it worth the extra money?

There have been plenty of reviews on the various models. Type the model number of interest into the site's search engine and you'll find the comments.
They do provide a "visible" difference, however, you need to be careful about which connection you use, which connection works for the upconversion and also, some players have had "compatibility issues" with some TVs.

Also remember junk in, junk out. Not all DVD's are created equal. While saying this does not necessarily mean a not so good PQ DVD will look 10x bad. It does mean there are still things left wanted when it comes to current DVD movies and players. It's a step in the right direction. Many have held off the purchase for now. I for one held off buying one of the 1st models out. However I'll be getting one soon. Read reviews and you'll see many that have an upconverting player like what they see. :sherlok:
