Just ordered the mits55411 and looking for people who've allready got this or one like it. I've read alot of posts with people doing alot of tweeking to the sets, do they ever look nice from the start or is the Avia CD(?) make it that much better. Is it somthing i can do myself?? Hope I like it!

Most TVs do not look good "right out of the box" - They are set up way too "hot". Most need quite a bit of tweaking with the assistance of some sort of setup DVD.
This is something you can easily do yourself, just take your time. Before you change any settings, make sure that you turn off all of your automatic settings (SVM, auto colour, black level, etc), as these can hamper the setup and typically create a worse picture instead of a better one.
You can do the setup as soon as you get the TV home, however, you will likely want to do it again after about a month, once the set is "run in". Depending on how much of a perfectionist you are, you'll probably want to run it again every 6 months to a year, just to ensure the settings haven't drifted too far off.
