I have WOW (Wide Open West) Digital TV with DVR built in. They want an additional $6.99 per month for HD programming. Is it worth it? Does Comcast broadcast true i1080? Or is it better to get an antenna for over the air transmission? What about indoor antennaes, such as the Terk HDTVi? I just bought Hitachi 57S715 a few days ago, and I am trying to decide what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for you assistance.

Personally I think that DiscoveryHD alone is worth the $6.99 :)

Have you checked www.antennaweb.org to see what digital stations are available in your area?

Many would say that the Terk is a lot of marketing hype and you could do better and less expensive with an antenna from RadioShack, Channel Master, Winegard or an antenna from www.antennasdirect.com ( and I am one of the many ).

HD programming from cable, satellite or OTA will be stunning. Use OTA to supplement either of the other two. If your cable has the HD locals, get it there, a lot cheaper (and less hassle) than buying and setting up an antenna.

With satellite, OTA is a must, not an optioin unless you don't have good OTA coverage of course.

Since we are talking about personal preference, I'd rather get a DVD and watch it than watch HBO HD, SHO HD etc.... Not terribly impressed, it looks good an all. My personal opinion.
