Hi Guys,
My plasma screen has fingerprints on the top. What do you guys recommend to clean the screen? The manual says just use dry cloth, but i dont think that worky well..
Thanks

Try a "damp" cloth (clean water)... I think that may 'worky' well.

buy a Monster Brand cleaning kit that's what I use on my sony plasma. It cost me about $35 canadian.

My Philips came with instructions to use a damp cloth with water ONLY. It seems to work great. :D

whoa , I recommend NEVER use a dry cloth, paper towel etc. on any smooth reflective surface...!
(hows the plexi shield over your autos speedo look, ever rub the dust from that while your driving, later to see the 'spider-scratches')
tell ya what works for me and CHEAP
buy a cheap squeegee, find a nice clean cotton towel (old t-shirt)
get towel plenty wet,but not enuff to run (drool) down into edge cracks on set
no need to use any cleaner agents , just clean warm water
gently wipe it around, squeegee it off (again, careful about the drool, drips!)
another good investment is these Household Dusters (swiffer for one) that keep you from even touching screen surface...
I know some of these screens have a protective film applied/sprayed onto frt surface that will melt or rub off
(I did this once to a computer monitor , eeeeeeeeek!) thats why manufacturers state no harsh cleaners or alcohol based products
just my thoughts on how I do it , FWIW...
:)
I would not recommend a squeegee. If any "debris" is left on the screen it will scratch or streak.
Most manufacturers recommend a soft, warm, damp (not wet) cloth. If you want you can use a "photo cloth".

water is a lubricator hench reducing the friction in turn reducing the posiblity of scratching said surface
carefully using a soft wet towel to remove oily fingerprints, kids peanut butter or cigarette smoke film
should achieve best results (we're not talking about dusting here)
after cleaning with soft wet towel , follow with a squeegee keeping the leading edge behind the "wet" line
will result in least surface contact during the drying process
be sure not to allow any fluid to enter at the screen edge
the therory of worrying about dirt particles scratching would be compounded with a towel over a thin rubber squeegee
this is a practice I have followed for many, many years sucessfully...
