I was going to purchase the 3 yr. extended for my Hitachi 65s500 that I am getting on Wednesday. I got it from uecweb.com, which is a authorized seller of refurbished hitachi TVs.
I was told by the one vendor that the 3 yr. extended only covers new, but the 5 yr. one covers new and refurbished?
Anyone know anything about this? I think this guy was just trying to get me to spend more money.

What did the UEC supplied vendor say?

Whatcha mean? The guy who told me this has a store on ebay. Gear4less
But reading through the 3 and 5 year warranty, I didn't see where the 5 yr. warranty allows refurbished TVs.

Check with UEC warranty policy/restrictions.
Check with Hitachi...
Check with another warranty provider...

I mean did you ask anyone at the place you bought your TV --You know UECweb. The place that sells refurbished TV's??????? They offer a warranty for a price.
Why would you ask a guy on Ebay for UEC any way?
