Does anyone know when Sony may be releasing a 50" Qualia rear projection set based on their SXRD technology? Doesn't have to be exactly 50" just an approximation would do. I know they have announced the Qualia 006 which is a 70" set (KDS70XBR100) based on SXRD but this is to large for my space. Thanks in advance for any information.

No info yet, perhaps CES in January will bring new SXRD developments?
Have you seen the Qualia 005? Same price, full 1080p and the best color of any Sony tv yet, 46".

I suppose I'll see at CES 2005. I'll be heading there this year and posting all the info I find on HD-Gamer.com (http://www.hd-gamer.com). The information will be on the front page as well as in the forum. The site is pretty new so there isn't a ton of information yet, but it's slowly getting there. I'll post here as well if I get any specific information about a smaller SXRD rear projection set.

BTW - Isn't the Qualia 005 the LCD display that has the TRILUMINOS™ LED Backlight System? Do you know if this set still has the same fill rate issues as regualr LCD?

I've heard the SXRD display has over a 90% fill rate and normal LCD has around 50%. I could be wrong about the LCD but I know it's not nearly as good as SXRD, D-ILA, or DLP.

Yeah sorry I failed to mention that part, I just listed it because it appears to be one of the smallest 1080p displays available. I'm not sure about fill rates with LED.

Thanks for letting me know about it anyway. I'll have to find more information about the whole Qualia line of products from Sony before I pass any judgements.
