Thinking of getting a 46WT520 but all the stores i have been in the sony crt
rptv's had visible scan lines unless you were quite far away. Is this common or was it do to the setup in the store. I am concerned because i have a small room and can only sit about 8 feet away. :nono2:
Have these scan lines been an issue on other HDTVs like Toshiba, Hitachi, etc?
Remember that HDTVs in the stores are not set up properly - see the FAQ "What you need to do to your new HDTV"

Don't see them on hitachi and toshiba. Don't know if it does this because of bad hook up but the other brands don't. Somethings rotten in denmark!

I have a sony 51" crt-rptv and I have never seen scan lines.

What you are seeing is a poor set up by the retailer. Possibll interference or contrast turned up high. One thing about researching a new TV, after narrowing down the brand or model by features then check out how the picture looks by visiting multiple retail locations.
