That is the question! I just bought the new Sony KDF-50WE655 LCD RPTV as well as invested in the Monster Power (The Expensive "Red" One) and the highest quality Monster Component cables as well. Now, my question has to do with the following: I have an older JVC Progressive Scan DVD player (XV-S502SL) that has never failed me in the 3 years I've had it. I also have a newer Toshiba Progressive Scan DVD player (SD-K730). Currently, I have only tried the Toshiba on my new HDTV and I must say it looks great. I have yet to try my JVC because I haven't unhooked it from the 32" Panasonic HDTV. Anyway, do you guys think the Toshiba is best over my JVC??? Also, if the Toshiba is supposedly superior to my JVC, I was thinking of replacing the JVC with a Sony to match my TV. Is the Sony DV-PNS575P going to be superior to my Toshiba SD-K730???

If it looks good stick with the toshiba. No use in getting another player since the HD dvd palyers will be here real soon, you can count on it.

480p can only look so good, your probably expecting too much or thinking HD quality like i do, but this is the dvd's limit of 480p.

I know man how you feel, i was the same way, in fact i went through 4 different players untill i found one that was satisfactory.:)
