I have the KDf-60xbr950 which is a year old. The lamp was replaced in May, but in the past week I've noticed the picture appears darker. It is not washed out or dim, but the dark areas have less or no definition. It could be the lamp, but it is less than 7 months old. Has any one else experienced this problem?

Anyone have some insight on this issue?

I'm sure you've looked into this but I just though I would throw it out there

Did your setting change..when the new lap was installed?

Maybe it's not set up the same way you had it before!!

Just tring to think of something!!??!!

Thanks for the reply. I did not change the settings when the new lamp was put in, but it was replaced months ago, and it is only resently that the picture appears darker. I guess my basic question is, when the lamp starts to age on these lcdrptv's, how does it effect the picture?

I have read that the picture will tend to loose its pop after a couple of years, but that when you replace the bulb it should bring it back to life, like new. It would seem that maybe a service call would be in order.
