Bought a KDE42XBR950

Hello everyone!
I'm making the shift to HD and bought a KDE42XBR950 at Circuit City the other day...I had expected to get a call from CC yesterday that it was at the store but never got the call :nono2: At least that gave me a chance to remove all pictures from the wall where it'll be mounted and get the current TVs given away... Also brought home a Sony progressive scan DVD player, all the Monster Cables, etc. and a Samsung 22" HD LCD for the bedroom. I'll already ordered the AVIA calibration CD from Amazon...

Now I'm in a quandry as to the satellite provider...I really want the 37 HD channels of the Va Va VOOM package but keep reading of software and billing problems with VOOM and its shakey future-I may have to settle for the very limited HD on DirectTV :headscrat It's a shame that HD source seems rife with compromise at this time, but I'm just glad to be a member of this brave new HD world and glad to be sharing it with you guys! :cheers:

Unless something really drastic changes, since cable does not seem to a choice, Directv claims it is going to increase HD channel capacity soon...all total right now you have the 5-channel HD package and HBO and Showtime HD with PPV, although TNT-HD is still rumored coming soon...If I were you, get the HD setup with the free HD package (see threads) and try OTA if HD local stations are close to you.
