PBS had a Great Performances special on last night
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/shows/guitargods/
It's HD, DD5.1, almost 2 hours.
It's not a documentary, but it reminded me a bit of "Standing in the Shadows of Motown". Great guitar players everywhere.
I loved the show and I don't even like the blues. If it comes on again, watch it and listen. I've left it on my DVR for future viewing.
PS. Turn on the closed captioning - it'll help you understand some of the words and some nuances of the music. I believe it's also available on DVD.
Great Stuff!
