Well,
Voom came out this morning as they promised. The installer hit a wire conduit in the wall, tripping the circuit breaker, then he dropped something on a glass top table and it shattered. He never apologized, never offered to replace it, and didn't even bother to clean up the glass! Just as my stress level was about to reach critical, they mamaged to finish the job and get the picture up and running. I was instantly a much happier person. I have read countless threads on Voom PQ, and my main reason for getting them was a hope that the SD channels would be decent looking on my 50" DLP. I have tried both analog and digital cable (Adelphia, South Florida), and both delivered virtually unwatchable picture. I fixed the electrical problem, I didnt really like the table anymore, and I re-ran a section of their coax, but after all was said and done, I am very happy. The installation was pure torture, but so far I feel it was worth it.
