I've just recently heard about voom and wanted to hear from current voom subscribers if it is worth getting.

I'm currently a comcast subscriber but am only getting about 14 hd channels.
I asked if they plan on adding more hd channels in the future but they couldn't give me an answer. I'm assuming if they do they will probably raise their rates.

I've asked the same question to voom and they do plan on adding more hd channels, but did not say whether the current rate would go up.

I'd also like to know how the sd channel quality is with voom.

Anyway i look forward to hearing the good and the bad about this service.

Thanx

hello venez. i am currently using voom and used to be on comcast. i am still asking myself your same question. SD quality is good. the problem i have is what are these new channels that are to be offered? to me that is the ultimate factor. with the exception of your standard "rainy day" signal breakup, I have seen no noticable difference between the two. actually comcast was more convieniant. comcast is offering me a deal to go back for 57/month for every possible channel avail. (platinum package) with tivo and on demand. Voom offers a few channels that I watch frequently, like TNTHD (great for NBA), EncoreHD, and old bravoHD now universalHD. Those other channels are okay, but nothing to "rave" about. there's my 2cents. for the price I am going back to comcast.
