I also have a focus issue, I booked an appointment with a tech to come do it under warranty - no sense risking messing the set up when you can get it done for free!

Please let us know if the tech was able to improve the focus/PQ of your set and if there was any sort of charge. Also, is this being done with the factory Panasonic warranty or one purchased through the store you bought the TV from?

I'm curious because I have the same model (except it's a 53 inch) and have been tweaking the settings but still believe it could be better. I have yet to go back to BestBuy and look at their demo set to compare. There really isn't any other way for me to determine if I've improved the PQ much on the TV that I can think of. It 'seems' to look better to me but I can't be sure.

You may be talking about convergence and not focus. Focus would have the same colour "bleed" to both sides of a white line, while convergence would show "colour fringing" on one side (or above or below)

Doh, good point!

BTW, is there an easy way to determine if a set is converged to it's full potential? I suspect the answer is no but it can't hurt to ask....

Bring up a screen that has lots of fine white writing on it. IF you see colour fringing to one side, it could use a good convergence. If your TV has not had a 56 point (or whatever number it is now on Panny) convergence done, then it's very likely that it needs it.

Mine is definitely focus. Blue bleeds out both sides of the line by quite a bit. I've tried to align it through convergence adjustments until my eyes welled up with tears....

Blue is the hardest to focus. An electronic focus may help but if you're a real nit-picker, a mechanical focus is required. Even then, you may still see it to a small extent.
