DO BOTH dlp and LCD rear projection tvs have this. Is there any way to get rid of it.

Also if there is alittle noise with the tv because of the fan. Is there any way to make it lower.

The screen door effect is being able to see the grid between the pixels, much like looking at something through a screen door. As the chip building technology has gotten better the space between the pixels has gotten smaller and it's harder to pick up when you watch the TV at normal distances... It's like the scan lines on a CRT, the closer you are to the set, the easier it is to pick them out.

no you cant get rid of the SDE on your set and only LCDs are prone to this and no there isnt anyway to make the fan noise quieter thats how the set doesnt overheat....
