View Full Version : Toshiba or Hitachi?

I'm new here and was wondering which is the better tv. I was considering the Toshiba 57h84 and the Hitachi 57f510. There is a Sony out there I believe is a ws series ( I'm not sure on the model #) that I was considering as well. Which is better or should I be looking at something else. I've been looking for a while and for twice the price I don't believe for me a lcd or dlp is the way to go. So CRT I go. I only have Digital Cable and watch a few dvd's so please keep that in mind.
HELP!!

My Dad has the Toshiba 65 inch Cinema Series and loves it. Haven't seen the Hitachi, but have been impressed with some of their other TVs.
As far as Sony....I'm getting the feeling that you'll end up paying a little bit more for a name. As I've seen some of their TVs and feel the competitors have a better price for the same or better product.

I love my 57F510. I didn't compare it directly to a Toshiba but it's better than the Mitsu and Sony of comparable size and type.

I would go with Hitachi. I went to circuit city yesterday to compare tv's, and the 57f510 had the best picture with the most sharp and clear image quality out of all the tv's. It looked like I was watching my Computers LCD screen but blown up to 57". When I buy a tv in a few months that will definately be my choice.

I have nothing but praise for my Toshiba 51H83. IMO no other set can match the picture quality I get on my set.

I have the Toshiba 57H84 and love it, but I really don`t think you can go wrong with Hitachi either. That would have been my second choice.

I Havent heard of too many problems with the Hitachis either. no "White line isseus" lol

mits is the way to go color balance picture quality is better than both sets

No way. Mits wouldn`t be a bad way to go either. Correct me if i`m wrong, but I heard that Toshiba makes the guns for the mits, or was it Hitachi. Something like that.
