i just purchased a panasonic 50DL54 and am enjoying it however there are a few problems that i've noticed. The first problem is that when i play a first person shooter game like say Ghost Recon 2 and i move my reticule from one side to the other really fast everything that's moving really fast goes all grainy with noise. it's very noticable while playing fast games where your moving alot and i was wondering if this is only a problem with the panasonic dlp's or with all dlp's?

my other problem is with anything that is black, it all seems to just keep morphing from one frame to the other in slow motion. i watched ghost in the shell the other day and in the opening police officers come running down a hallway, the word "police" on their jackets seemed to be about a 1/4 second behind where it was supposed to be.

First question is what console are you using?

Second question is are you using a component video connection for said console? If not you are only viewing the image in 480i mode.

Lastly, is the console/game configured for 16:9 and progressive scan?

fixed my problem, it was the dlp technology which creates what's called temperal dithering. i exchanged for a rp lcd which solved my problem.
