I'm thinking of getting an external HDTV Receiver for my Mitusbishi WS-65807 65" TV. Right now I can't get any DirectTV or other HDTV source other than OTA. Any recommendations for a receiver? I live on the 5th floor of a building, would I need an OUTSIDE antenae or could use an INHOUSE antenae? I live right in the city. Any help appreciated.

You should be close enough being in the city to get away with a set top bow tie antenna or something of that nature. Stay away from Terk they are a waste of money.. There are several new HDTV set top boxes out or coming out in the next couple of weeks that should fit your purpose. Samsung Sir-T151 Zenith HDV420 Panasonic TUDST52. The later two are either not available yet or hard to get... All run in the $399 range. When you see CSI in HDTV you won't believe it.:)

Go with the Mitsubishi SR-HD5 STB which receives Directv and OTA signals. Also try out the Indoor Silver Sensor antenna(Circuit City $39.99). Ebay you can usually get theMits STB for $400-$500.

I'm new to HDTV. Been watching a 46" Mitz for one year and do not like the non-HDTV PQ. Had many guys out to try and Got the Sony in hopes that it would improve the non-hdtv signals as well as show great hdtv.
It rules. Everything looks better. Everything does not look HDTV great (only HDTV looks HDTV good) but the up-convert really makes the picture great. The digital channels look wonderful even when they are not HD.

sorry, but what does that have to do with the original question?
