There are 2 options in the set up menu that are a bit confusing to me.
1) ID-1 option: on or off?
(ON: When screen size specification signals are detected, screen size is automatically changed.) However, my cable box also has an automatic upload feature called Auto DVI. This feature automatically formats the scan rate supported by my HDTV. Is having both the auto set up on both my HDTV AND Cable box problematic?
2) Digital In option: VGA, 480p, or AUTO?
This digital input is coming from my HD Cable box and neither option available (VGA or 480p) makes much sense to me? So, I chose AUTO. VGA seems more for computer inputs and 480p is just one of the many formats my cable company uses (including 480p standard, 480p widescreen, 480i, 720p, 1080i). Any suggestions? Does AUTO seem the logical choice?
