View Full Version : Optoma EzPro 745, anyone heard about it

I bought this at tigerdirect for $1299.00. It arrives tomorrow but I am wondering if any one has thoughts about a video projector with 2300 lumens as opposed to the HDTV specific ones that have much lower lumens for event 2x the price.

I am looking at this projector for some days and trying to find some info regarding performance or reviews on this one, i could not find. Do you have any opinion on this ?

The Optoma 745 is an OEM version of the 739 made for TigerDirect.com. I freakin love it. Just finished watching superbowl. with my screen I get a 100" normal screen and a 73" 16:1. Very bright, good colors. I was hesitant because it was not marketed as home theatre device. I see now that that is just a ruse to get more money for a 'luxury' item instead of a business one.

I am suprised. I got one to try out and it def was not meant for HT. compared to the X1 the X1 blew it away. sure the resolution was better but colors, performance and not to mention the green effect it was giving made me return this unit. I was much happier with the X1.
