I already have a complete home theater set up and I love it (see signature). I am now in the middle of furnishing another room in my townhouse (2nd TV room sorta) and am ready to buy a new TV for that room also.

I am looking for a 27" to 32" HDTV set for that room to fit in the corner. This new TV for this room might get a little more watching as I wouldn't fire up my whole home theater unless I was watching sports, movie, DVDs, etc....

Does anyone have any recomendations for a HDTV this size to put there. I am not looking to "break the bank" either on this set as it is definetly a true "2nd set" and I probably wont have many (if any) components attached to it other than an STB. Maybe I should not even go HD for this second set? I just dont know which direction to head with this?

Thanks for your feedback!

I bought a 30" Samsung 16:9 HDTV as my second/bedroom set and it was ~$700 as I recall. It has a very good picture and it didn't break the bank either. This size of TV may be even cheaper now and I'm sure there are more choices than when I bought mine.

The 30" Toshibas have the smallest footprints of the 16:9 sets because the speakers are on the bottom. Bet they (30hf or 30hfx) will fit. Buy local and get a build date of August or better and bring it back if it is buggy.

Toshiba also makes a very nice 30-32" LCD flat panel. Very highly rated, price not too bad.
