Ok, I was all ready decided to get the hitachi 57f510 at BB for 1800. well I just ran into a link at this site uebweb. or something like that for the refurbs.. I almost puked when I saw I could get a 60" lcd for the same price as I was going to pay! Now I understand that the 57 is new and the 60 is a refurb, and I also know that the refurb comes with a 30 day warrenty, and the new set 1 year. I am just beside myself now.. Please help me decide PLEASE!!!!!!! :mecry:

that website is pretty reputable buttt weve also heard horror stories from people who have gone that route.... man this is just my opinion but get something that is brand new.... no need to take chances..

For a 3" gain (yeah.. I know that's a joke waiting to happen)... 30 days and whatever the return policy.
Same price for 57", 30 days to decide. Free return/exchange (if necessary) and 1 year warranty.
IMO... is the additional 3" worth the risk?

lol, I told my wife and she said "only a 30 day warrenty!" NO! lol, but it's not just 3" diffrence, one is a rptv and the other is lcd rp.. would that change your mind at all?

Personally... no. I'd opt for the RPTV and ease of mind.

How about Devils Advocate- 3 more inches, Better technology, and you can add a mulit- year service contract for 200 dollars.
Or the 57F510 for 1094 plus shipping and warranty - about 1550 dollars total

I do not think they have a 60 inch LCD at UEC for 1800 they do have a 50 inch LCD for that price

For the most part, see the tv in person, never buy blindly over the internet.
