Hey guys, I have not run accross this before so maybe one of you guys can help me out. I have been enjoying my Mits WS-55515 since I got it back in December. Up till now it has been working great, now however it has been making some noises. As long as the TV is connected to the wall I am hearing a buzzing sound coming from inside of the TV. If I pull the plug from the wall the unit goes quiet.

The Sound is not loud enough to be heard above any of the shows or movies I watch but when the room is quiet you can definitely hear it pretty well. I was just wondering if this was something I need to be concerned about, or is this a normal operating sound that I am just now noticing for the first time. Again, the sound is like something you would hear from a generator or something; a constant buzzing sound while plugged into the wall.

Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks Guys

Capacitor or transfomer going bad? I am not an EE, but I am sure some of the internals hold a charge while plugged in. Could be something of that nature.

Thanks for that Kevin. On that note I put a service call in for the set and they are coming to look at it tomorrow.....I'll let you know how it turns out......

This is my second Mits set in two yrs because of problems, I'm starting to lose faith in the product I think.....hopefully its nothing big to worry about.......Thanks again.

Are you sure it is not the fan? My Ws65615 has a cooling fan the runs 24/7.

This is most likely the answer...sometimes the most obvious is the most likely :D

It does not sound like a fan to me, although I know they can get loud when they want to. I think I will just leave it up to the service guys to open the rig up since its only a month old and if they screw it up they can get me a new one.

It would be nice if that were all it was cause last time they took my TV I had to watch a borrowed 13" set for the next month.
