Does anyone know if there is a way to program a Motorola 6412 DVR remote to send the Panasonic "Aspect" signal. I'd like to set a button on the the DVR remote to cycle through the TH-37PD25 aspect options.

Is that particular remote a 'learning' remote? Does the user guide state that it can learn the infrared code from another remote? If not you will probably be best served with buying a true universal remote. I purchased a Logitech Harmony 659 remote at the same time I bought my new TV. This thing is awesome! I only needed to jump on the website, tell it what devices I had and how they were hooked up and program it.
Although it's not strictly a learning remote, I have heard that some people have been able to connect certain remotes to their computers and "teach" them the appropriate codes. Some remotes can aslo be taught certain commands by inputting certain sequences of button presses. Go to remotecentral.com...

Unfortunately, the DVR remote cannot be educated :mecry:
I was able to feed it the generic code set for the TV, but there is no ASPECT button on the DVR remote. What I need is that specific code so I can re-program one of the unused buttons.

Hopefully this helps...
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but here is the 'code' that my Logitech Harmony remote uses for aspect on my Panny TV.

Thanks. Since I first posted I've purchased a URC-200 remote. It now handles ALL my devices (it can control up to 10). Comes with lots of code sets, has an easy Learning function, rename-able LCD buttons ...
Pretty sweet.

Well that's definitely a better solution. Have fun with the new toy!
