View Full Version : CBS Playoff Game - Jets/Steelers

I was watching the Jets/Steelers game in HD today and after a few minutes into the first quarter, the picture was cropped down to 4:3 with NFL bars on each size. Did anyone else see that? I only watched it about 10 more minutes before I left. Did they change it back? Anyone else have that?

yeah they were having trouble in the first quarter but got it fixed and the rest of the game looked fine.

As a Steelers fan, I was extremely disappointed with the CBS telecast. The picture was in and out of HD in the 1st quarter and the sound was terrible the entire 1st half. Come on boys, it's the play-offs!

There was a message saying "loss of input signal" just before the HD signal went off during the first quarter. CBS still hasn't gotten it together after the whole NFL regular season. And what's the deal with showing that stupid TV with players pictures? FOX was flawless during the whole season with HD, 5.1 sound was great and every game they covered was in HD, as opposed to CBS.

Exact same thing happened here. It went out in the first quarter. I thought the rest of the game was great, however it definitely wasn't 5.1 the whole game. It was a multi-channel signal, but I don't think it as true 5.1

After watching what I recorded, it looks like the problem I was having only lasted about 10 minutes or so. The picture and sound was great other than that.

I get more of the "moving grass" (as several postings described) on FOX NFL broadcasts than CBS. Even with CBS's little HD delays here and there, it is (IMHO) still the best in HD OTA broadcasts.

if i was you id be a little more disappointed on how your steelers played, they play like that this weekend, pats will crush them
