I own a ws-55807 tv. The narrow format display used to be positioned in the middle and move to ensure the gray bars do not burn an image into the screen. Recently the picture sits on the right side of the screen instead of being in the middle. Does anyone know of horizontal positioning setting?

:usa1: I have the same model which I bought in 2001. I love it. I do not have it hooked up to the HDTV cable yet.
As to your question--it begs the question as to why do you would watch it in the narrow mode? I usually watch in Standard mode with no problems. Occassionally a very wide screen movie (usually Cinerama) I set it to stretch or zoom to minimize the letter boxing.
I do not believe that the picture position is adjustable by the consumer.
