Sam's 55" w/tuner or mits 55315 w/o tuner?

Which is the better deal?? The akai pt5598hdi is selling for $1100(soon to be cheaper due to new models coming) and it has a built in tuner.....or a mits 55315 new in the box from a dealer w/o tuner for $1200. What does anyone recommend? Please help soon...my opportunity for a special purchase is time sensitive.

If you intend to get cable or satellite, the tuner should not be a consideration.

But, IMO I wouldn't have much faith in the Akai. It's not really a big player in the TV market.

(Although they made excellent tape decks in the 60's and 70's!)
