As everyone knows, many markets around the nation do not have access to FOX HD. Specifically the markets that Sinclair broadcasting group have ownership to.

There has been many negoiations, but little has been resolved between the parties to come to a conclusion that satisfies everyone's pocketbook. It all boils down to, Sinclair wants more money and Comcast isn't willing to pay the price.

I've come by some inside information that negoiations have been somewhat successful in the past few weeks. It has been reported that Sinclair has agreed to charge Comcast only $0.25 per digital customer. This should allow Comcast to only pay for the viewers that actually subscribe to the FOX HD service. If you want HD channels and are a customer of Comcast, you have to pay for a digital converter box. This should allow for Comcast to be able to identifiy all their digital and HD subscribers, thus paving the way for FOX HD service to be broadcast via Comcast cable.

I have to say that I would be more than greatful to pay any additional $0.25 per month to receive FOX HD. Also, people at Sinclair are well aware that thousands of people around the country have recently purchased HDTV's and would enjoy the opportunity to view the Super Bowl and Daytona 500 in the comfort of their own homes on their new HDTV.

Hopefully this new information will allow Comcast to reach an agreeement and make everyone a HAPPY HDTV OWNER!!

Keep your fingers crossed!! :hyper:
