Attic antenna installation question

I ordered a DB4 from Antennas Direct and intend to put it my attic. The easiest place to install it would be about 10 feet from a gas furnace.

Is being near the furnace likely to be a problem? Will it matter if I aim the antenna over the furnace?

10 feet away should be good, but if it's big and metal and in the line of site if could cause an impact to the signal. You might want that antenna outside instead...
